TD Garden to Host UConn–Duke Women’s Basketball
BOSTON — Feb. 27, 2026 — TD Garden will host a premier women’s college basketball showdown on November 28, 2026, as the UConn Huskies and Duke Blue Devils tip off a newly announced three-game series. The contest in Boston will be followed by a home-and-home series, with UConn traveling to Durham in 2027–28 and Duke visiting Connecticut in 2028–29.
“We are thrilled to bring a marquee women’s college basketball matchup between the UConn Huskies and Duke Blue Devils to TD Garden,” said Glen Thornborough, president of TD Garden and EVP/COO of the Boston Bruins. “Hosting these two powerhouse programs gives fans the chance to experience the very best of the women’s game on one of basketball’s most iconic stages.”
Tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. available at Ticketmaster.com.
The game at TD Garden will mark the 18th all-time meeting between the two premier programs. UConn holds a 14–3 advantage in the series and has won the last 11 matchups. The teams most recently met on March 30, 2024, in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in Portland, with the Huskies earning a 53–45 victory. Their last regular-season meeting came in 2022.
Together, the programs boast a combined 2,397 wins (UConn 1,322; Duke 1,075), underscoring their historic success and national prominence.
The matchup carries strong Boston ties. Duke head coach Kara Lawson previously served as an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics during the 2019–20 season, while UConn standout Sarah Strong is the daughter of Allison Feaster, the Celtics’ Vice President of Team Operations & Organizational Growth — further connecting both programs to TD Garden and the city of Boston.
The UConn–Duke showdown adds another premier women’s basketball event to TD Garden’s 2026 calendar and continues the venue’s tradition of hosting elite collegiate competitions.
