BOSTON, MA (May 1, 2014) – Delaware North Companies, owner and operator of TD Garden and Sportservice, the arena’s concessionaire, fine dining and retail management partner, and the Boston Celtics announced today the renovation plans for Legends Club and Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club.

Legends Club, a private, members-only hospitality area located on level 3, houses the private Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club and is open to eligible Bruins and Celtics season ticket holders. As announced last month by Charlie Jacobs, Principal of Delaware North Companies and Boston Bruins, the TD Garden is undergoing a comprehensive, $70 million arena-wide upgrade over the next two years. The extreme makeover of the arena’s largest hospitality space includes a reconfigured footprint, modern sports theme design, and refreshed culinary offerings.

“We are excited to share the renovation plans for Legends Club, the busiest and largest hospitality space in the TD Garden used during all events by season ticket holders, concert-goers, and special event attendees,” said Amy Latimer, President of TD Garden. “The transformed space will deliver a high-energy atmosphere and dining experience featuring creative sports design and technology applications that enhance the fan experience.”

The Legends Club footprint will be expanded by more than 35 percent, allowing for an increased capacity. The new look of the Legends Club infuses the heritage of Boston and the legendary sports moments from the rich histories of the Bruins and Celtics into a modern design, anchored by the original Boston Garden marquee sign. Rossetti Architects, renowned sports and hospitality firm, are the designers for this portion of the project.

The expanded Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club will be repositioned and completely remodeled, giving Celtics Courtside Club members closer and more convenient access to the club from their seats. The design elements of the new club draw from the storied franchise and incorporate state-of-the-art technology, including a 55-foot media wall. The Celtics are working with locally based Cambridge Seven Associates for this project.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to improve the in-game experience for our fans,” said Boston Celtics Team President Rich Gotham. “The expansion of the Celtics Sun Life Courtside Club featuring increased space, upgraded technology and enhanced dining options is just one of the ways we will accomplish that goal for our Courtside Season Ticket Members, sponsors and other guests.”

Highlights of the Legends Club dining experience include a raw bar, brick oven and charcuterie station. Patrons will enjoy a variety of seating options, including communal dining for an a la carte menu and reserved seating for full menu waited service. Two new bars will provide selection of craft beer in addition to top-shelf drinks. Award-winning Sportservice chefs will display their culinary talents in an open kitchen concept as they prepare made-to-order meals.

The two-year, $70 million renovation project will touch every aspect of the TD Garden fan experience and feature the development of a new ProShop, redesigned modern concourses, this comprehensive renovation of Legends Club and an upgraded technology infrastructure and state-of-the art solutions from Cisco to support the digital fan experience. Delaware North Companies is committed to maintaining the arena’s industry-leading status, with the primary focus on the fan experience, as it approaches its 20-year anniversary. Over the last four years, the Jacobs family and Delaware North Companies have privately financed more than $20 million in renovations to TD Garden’s Premium Club products, a new ecofriendly roof and technology upgrades.
